Election Information Registering to voteIf you would like to register prior to election day and vote in person, voters may register during the following weekend hours prior to November election: Saturday, November 5th – 8:00am to 12:00pmSunday, November 6th – 8:00am to 12:00pm Please register at 3715 N 200th Avenue, Walkerville MI Absentee applicationsIf you returned your absentee application with BOTH Primary and General Election checked in the top boxes, you will NOT receive an application. You will be mailed a ballot as soon as they are available. General Election DayVoting hours are 7:00am to 8:00pmPlease bring your Michigan ID with you to vote. This is the law. ID types you can use to check in are: • Michigan driver's license or state ID• Driver's license or personal identification card issued by another state• Federal or state government-issued photo identification• U.S. passport• Military ID with photo• Student identification with photo from a high school or accredited institution of higher learning• Tribal identification card with photo Rules: Once you enter the polling place, talk of proposals, candidates, how one should vote is not allowed. You may not have candidate information on a shirt, button, hat, shoes once in the polling hall. You will be asked to remove the item or turn a shirt inside out while you are in the hall. Stickers on vehicles are allowed in the parking lot, however, it is only allowed for the time permitting for you to cast your ballot, then you must leave the parking lot. Signs are not allowed within 100 ft of the entrance of the building. Once you have a ballot it should remain covered. Once voted on, it MUST be covered until it is in the tabulator.
There are rules that we all must abide by, even if we might not agree all of us have to be considerate and follow rules regarding our elections.
